Birdwise Swallow
The upperparts of the plumage are often dark blue or green with lighter parts. They usually have a forked tail, sometimes with extended outer tail feathers. The short bill has a wide mouth opening. Swallows are fast fliers that hunt in flight. The song of these birds is a continuous chirping that can also be heard in flight. The body length is 12 to 23 cm.

According to superstition, swallows bring luck. Where a swallow builds its nest, prosperity will prevail and lightning will not strike. For a long time, it remained unclear where the swallows wintered. Thanks to research, it is clear that the swallows migrate towards the equator at the end of the breeding season.
