Simon King Predator Resistant Nest Box The predator resistant nest box for small birds has been designed in collaboration with Simon King OBE. This is a super strong and extra deep nest box for extra protection from predators such as cats, rats and woodpeckers. The box is made from solid FSC certified timber with a water based green painted roof and a 32mm hole protector. It is suitable for nesting species of small birds such as the Great Tit. The nest box is secured to a tree or wall using the pre-drilled recycled plastic hanger on the back of the box. The clever design of the hanger means that you can undo the locking screw on the back of the box and swing the hanger away to reveal a large opening for cleaning the nest box after the nesting season is over October - December. Orient the box with the entrance facing north east, away from the prevailing UK wind direction. The green roof can be re-painted annually to maintain the appearance of the nest box.
