DecoBird Barn Swallow

The Barn Swallow is an acrobatic songbird with a very characteristic appearance: blue upperparts, red chin and crown, a long, split tail, and curved wings. They prefer to nest near human habitats. The swallow has adapted to nest almost exclusively in man-made structures such as barns, sheds, garages, and sometimes bridges and piers. The nest is shaped like an open clay bowl and is lined with feathers. Their short legs make them unsuitable for landing on the ground, meaning they spend most of their lives in the air, and even prefer to drink while flying. As one of the earliest returning migratory birds, the swallow is often seen as a sign that spring is coming. The beautiful enthusiastic sound of its song is often alternated with a rattling sound, while the warning sound is a loud chit.
