DecoBird - Black-winged Tanager
Omschrijving
Naturalistic wooden bird with beautiful details
About the Scarlet Tanager
The Scarlet Tanager is difficult to recognize, despite the bright red breeding plumage of the male, because they prefer to stay high in the treetops in search of food, including insects and larvae. The yellow-green plumage of the female makes her even more difficult to recognize. They prefer to nest in deciduous forests in eastern Canada and the US and spend the winter in the upper Amazon basin. They can appear in Europe, but only on rare visits.
