About Alpacas
The alpaca originates from the Andes and lives in areas of Ecuador, northern Bolivia, northern Chile and southern Peru. It is a domesticated camelid whose origins can be traced back to the vicuña. Bred for its fine wool, the alpaca is kept in herds on high-altitude grasslands. It is a sociable animal that must live with other alpacas to thrive. They communicate with humming sounds and have a rich body language with different head and ear positions.
Handmade crochet from Wildlife Garden
Our hand-carved hooks are artistic and detailed interpretations of wild and domestic animals from around the world, along with representatives from the mushroom kingdom. Each hook is a piece of true craftsmanship, made of wood and painted with water-based paints, giving each item a unique expression.
The hook is made of bronze metal and can handle a maximum load of 10 kg. Each hook comes with an informative booklet about the species it represents.
