Wildlife Garden - Nutcracker Squirrel

Our nutcracker is a unique and solid nutcracker made of solid lime wood. It shows a squirrel holding a nut in its hands and you squeeze the handles to crack the nut. Nuts up to 3 cm in size can be cracked. The nutcracker is handmade from carved wood and painted with environmentally friendly colors. About squirrels: Squirrels store nuts and acorns for the winter and can find food up to a meter under the snow. Squirrels eat food rich in proteins, carbohydrates and fats, because they cannot digest cellulose. They feed mainly on nuts, acorns and seeds, but also eat cones, fruits and green plants. In early spring, the buried nuts begin to germinate and instead the buds of the trees become an important food.
